There’s nothing wrong with a quarter-pound hamburger – for many diners, that’s enough. Some people with really big appetites might go for a double – a burger that might have a full half pound of meat. But what if you’re really hungry and need a burger that’s not just big, but as big as your head? There’s only one thing to do: Drive to Sheboygan and head to Frankie’s Pub & Grill, which is home to some of the biggest burgers in Wisconsin.
Frankie’s Pub & Grill is a cozy dining spot located in Sheboygan, near the river. If you’re traveling through the area on Highway 43, it’s a great rest spot – it's only a few minutes off the highway.
When you step inside, you’ll find yourself in a classic, welcoming Wisconsin dining spot. The restaurant is filled with warm wood, and it has a big granite bar.
They are also huge – as the restaurant proudly proclaims, they are as big as your head - and you can get them piled high with all the fixings. The “Frankie” is served with fried mushrooms, beef gravy and melted Swiss cheese.
Is 12 ounces of meat not enough for you? No problem. Just order the “Frankie's Challenge,” a whopping 86-ounce behemoth of a burger. It comes with a t-shirt, and if you can finish it in 45 minutes, it’s free. Good luck!
