The ranch is a family-owned and -operated riding stable that's surrounded by the lush Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest. It's the largest state-owned forest in Wisconsin and it's gorgeous.

Reservations are required at Grassy Creek Ranch – they try to limit groups to six people. It’s a good idea to wear long pants, socks over the ankle and boots or gym shoes.
