As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
Over the past decade or so, the treehouse has gotten a luxe makeover. Long gone are the days of one-room treehouses constructed from leftover wood. Today, treehouses are just that – houses. As treetop abodes have grown in size so has their popularity. And lucky for us, we’ve got an incredible treehouse that you can rent for the night right here in Wisconsin. Take a look:
A far cry from the treehouses of yesteryear, Boulder Ridge Treehouse in Bayfield is described as a “handcrafted retreat.”
The perfect place to savor a Northwoods experience, the treehouse sits 12’ off the ground and is surrounded by pine trees. Luckily, there’s a large wrap-around deck, where you can take in the peaceful surroundings and expansive views.
Pretty roomy, the upper level of the treehouse features two lofted sleeping areas. Connected by a catwalk, one loft includes a queen bed, while the other has a twin bed and twin sofa sleeper.
The main level of the house includes a cozy living room with double recliner and fireplace, a kitchenette with a microwave, coffee pot, and refrigerator, and a bathroom with a shower.
Outfitted with central heat as well as a fireplace, Boulder Ridge Treehouse is available for rent year-round. Heat isn’t the only modern-day comfort guests can enjoy, though. There's also a smart TV, Netflix, and wi-fi, to name a few.
The amenities aren't limited to the indoors. The property includes a pond and walking trails for guests to enjoy. And since the treehouse is in close proximity to orchards, berry fields, wineries, and beaches, there's plenty to do nearby.
