In the little Village of Campbellsport, a cute little walk-up ice cream shop serves up some seriously big cones. The Hamburger Haus in Wisconsin may tout burgers in its name, but it’s the perfect excuse for a scenic drive in the Kettle Moraine Region and an excellent spot to indulge in something sweet. Just arrive a little hungry – its cones are huge!

Hamburger Haus is located about 10 minutes from the heart of Campbellsport, pop. 1,800. It’s a perfect place to refuel after you’ve been biking or hiking in the nearby Kettle Moraine State Forest and it’s also a perfect rest stop if you’re enjoying a scenic drive through the area on the nearby Kettle Moraine Scenic Drive.

Motorcycle riders also sometimes fuel their adventures with a stop at the Haus.
The shop was established in 1984 and it’s a throwback sort of place that’s fast disappearing. This is no big chain restaurant – it’s the kind of place where you chat with other customers in line, order your food, and stake out a picnic table.

But while this is a "haus" of hambugers, this hidden gem also serves some of the best ice cream in Wisconsin!
