Giant Portions Are A Big Perk Of These 7 Wisconsin Restaurants
Got a big appetite to satisfy? Well, you’re in luck. The Badger State is home to several restaurants where hearty helpings are the norm. And some have even turned their out-of-this-world servings into contests, so you can quench your appetite – and need for competition – all in one sitting. Take a look:

If huge hunks of meat are your thing, a visit to Ward's House of Prime won't disappoint. The eatery is known for its HUGE prime ribs – the smallest of which is a whopping 40 ounces! Devouring one of the massive steaks will earn you a spot on Ward’s Prime Rib Wall of Fame. To be the champion, though, you’ll have to beat the current record, which is held by Molly Shuyler, who scarfed down a 360-ounce prime rib!

Big is the name of the game at this Manitowoc eatery, which is known for its massive ¾-pound burgers. And for those with a hefty hamburger hankering, there’s the Quad burger, which, as you’ve probably guessed, is made with four ¾-pound patties!

At Black Otter Supper Club, it’s always prime (rib) time! A must-visit for carnivores, the eatery is the home of the 160-ounce Extreme Cut Prime Rib. Finishing the giant cut of meat will earn you a spot on the eatery’s Wall of Fame, a $20 gift card, and free t-shirt. Just a heads up – only a handful of people have actually completed the challenge.

Eat to your heart’s content – and then some – when you take on the WeatherVane’s Tsunami Omelet Challenge. No easy feat, the challenge requires contenders to finish a 14-ingredient omelet, hashbrowns, pancakes, and toast. Oh, and did we mention there’s a 1-hour time limit?

Since 1999, Sobelman’s has been serving up some of the state’s most original and outrageous Bloody Marys. One of the most famous is the Bloody Beast, which includes all the classic garnishes along with sliders, bacon-wrapped cheese balls, and…a WHOLE fried chicken!

If you thought all sandwiches were created equal, you clearly haven’t heard of the Commish Challenge at Jake’s Deli. Only for the heartiest of appetites, the challenge involves consuming a gigantic sandwich. Weighing in at over four pounds, it’s made with an entire loaf of rye bread, a mountain of meat, Swiss cheese, jalapenos, sauerkraut, and sauce. Those who are able to finish the sandwich in 45 minutes get it for free, which is a pretty good prize, considering it cost $75.

Aptly named, The Pancake Place is the place to go for pancakes - but not just any pancakes. The pancakes at this decades-old eatery are so big that they barely fit on the plate. A variety of flavors, like chocolate chip and Oreo, and a plethora of toppings, which includes everything from bacon to ice cream, only add to the pancakes’ tastiness.
So, ever dined on any of the massive meals mentioned above? Did you attempt any of the eating contests? Know of another restaurant with enormous portions? If so, tell us in the comments section.
