As you’ve seen here before, Wisconsin can be a pretty creepy place. There are spots that are spooky, weird, and downright terrifying. Milwaukee has all of that creepiness within its city limits. Here are five haunted places in Milwaukee and their spooky backstories.
1. The Pfister Hotel
So many people think the Pfister is haunted that even an Angels player reported seeing a ghost there just a few days ago. Ghosts have supposedly tortured MLB players here for over a decade. But the hauntings go deeper than that. Charles Pfister, for whom the hotel is named, is said to roam the hotel. People have reported seeing other ghosts, and other strange occurrences like feeling super cold or hearing creaky floors.
2. Seven Bridges Trail
More specifically, Grant Park is totally haunted. The bridge entering the park says "Enter this wild wood and view the haunts of nature." Many people over the years have killed themselves on this bridge. Looking down on the ravine from the bridge, people report seeing an almost sparkly substance, and they report glowing lights, voices, and occasionally, a human screaming.
3. North Point Lighthouse
This lighthouse was originally built in 1855, and it is in one of the Milwaukee's oldest public parks. Lots of strange activity has been reported here. There have been reports of children screaming when children are nowhere around. There are also cold spots and a general feeling of being unwelcome.
4. The Rave
The Rave was once a social gathering spot with a pool. One person is said to have drowned here, and a strong chlorine smell is said to waft throughout. Other times, people hear children laughing. People see shadowy figures, and some people also report hearing things falling on the roof. Most of this activity takes place when the place is nearly abandoned. Today, the location is a concert venue.
5. The Italian Community Center
Where this center now stands was where an old Irish settlement was - but it was burned down by a fire. People have reported seeing phantom children running up and down the halls, dishes just randomly shattering, and doors banging loudly. People have also said that they heard voices echoing up and down the halls when no one else is there.
