There are not just a million reasons to visit Ferch’s Beachside Grille in South Milwaukee – there are a million and one. The popular Wisconsin restaurant and frozen custard shop is famous for serving up a million different custard variations. But that’s not all. They have a shop located right on one of the best beaches in southeast Wisconsin, so you can get incredible custard served with a side of sunshine.

Ferch's Malt Shoppe had a longtime location in Greendale that was pretty great. It served some wonderful food in a classic setting. While that location is no more, it had another shop up its sleeve.
Ferch’s Beachside Grille is located right on Grant Park Beach in South Milwaukee. You can enjoy Ferch’s delicious custard, and on hot days you can cool off in Lake Michigan and if you need to, head back to the shop for some more cool custard!
The shop has some of the best custard around and has boasted that it has a million different flavors. We’ll take their word for it, but the menu has a lot of tempting options for custard lovers, including malts, shakes sundaes, root beer floats and cones. There are lots of topping and flavor variations – everything from sprinkles to cookie dough.
The beach is perfect for families, with plenty of soft sand and a nearby playground. You may not want to leave and that's not a bad thing – you can make an excuse to order more food from Ferch’s!
