So where will the peak his first this year? According to the color tracker, if you drive to the far north, you can see the best colors the first week of October in places like Cable, Antigo, and St. Germain
If you want to see the best colors in other areas of the state you’ll have to wait a little longer. The peak is expected to hit Wausau, Door County, Marinette County, and Price County the second week of October. Climb the tower at Timm’s Hill to take in the highest view of the show!
Further south, the colors will arrive even later. Wisconsin Rapids, Sheboygan, Elkhart Lake, and Calumet County are all predicting a peak in the third week of October.
Little ghosts and goblins in southern Wisconsin can expect a colorful backdrop to their candy hunt. Madison, Lafayette, and Green Counties are predicting a peak in the final week of October.
