There are a few things to keep in mind when visiting Houghton Falls Nature Preserve. First, visitors are asked to stay on the official trail to prevent vegetation loss, erosion, etc.

Secondly, the preserve’s gates are locked promptly at closing time, so it’s important to be mindful of operating hours. And finally, if the parking lot is full, visitors are asked to return at a later time, rather than park on the street, which is prohibited.
