In Wisconsin Dells there’s a deer park that dates back to the beginnings of this area as a tourist mecca. For more than 50 years, Wisconsin Deer Park has been providing one of the most memorable experiences in the state. This unique attraction has a wide variety of animals including a large deer herd that you and your family can feed, pet, touch and interact with.
This awesome, interactive attraction has 40 acres on which hundreds of animals live. You'll find deer, elk, bison, pigs, horses, goats, llamas, birds, peacocks and even lemurs. Though there's plenty of room for the animals to roam, the main walking space is just about four blocks long, meaning this is totally manageable for even the smallest and shortest of legs.
You truly get to get up close and personal to the animals here and it will make your kids so happy. Deer feed is $4 for a cup or there are a number of 25 cent vending machines around the grounds.
Please don't feed the animals anything but what is available on site - it's specially made and designed to provide the animals with all the nutrients they need. But you get to feed the animals, who are gentle and used to all the human interaction.
This place goes well beyond a simple petting zoo to a spot where you can pet, interact with and really fall in love with all the animals that live here. These folks have been in business for more than 50 years and that's because families love coming back here and they provide a truly amazing and wonderful one-of-a-kind experience.
Tickets to the park are $14 for 12 years and older, $10 for children ages 3-11 and free for children two years and under. The park is open 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the off season.
Your family will fall in love with this place. It's a place where their imaginations can run wild and they can fulfill all their dreams. It's like living in a story book as you visit with all these gorgeous animals.
If your kids love animals, you won't find another place like this. The memories you make here are irreplaceable. It's a wonderful way to spend a few hours away from all the frantic energy of the rest of the Dells.
