Brrrrr. I’ve been feeling chills all day with these low temps. But I’ve been feeling even more chills after learning about this creepy asylum that still stands today in Wisconsin.

Located in Sheboygan County, this asylum operated from 1940 until 2002. It was constructed to serve as a home for the mentally or developmentally disabled, and the elderly.

Is this place haunted? Well, some people at least think so. There have reportedly been ghost sightings. Other people who actually live in Sheboygan…not so much.

Some investigators heard the rumors about the asylum being haunted, and they actually made a movie about it. You can see a trailer for the video below. It also gives you a good sense of what this place was like.
