In need of a getaway but not sure you can afford it? Never fear – we found a cozy little cabin that oozes rustic charm, thanks in part to its location on a private lake. And at less than $100 a night, it’s as affordable as it is charming. Read on to learn all about this woodsy hideaway.
Located in the small town of Thorp, surrounded by forested land, and situated on a private lake, this Airbnb rental is perfectly secluded and a great place to soak up some peace and quiet.
Bringing you back to the basics, the rustic cabin doesn’t boast tons of bells and whistles, but it does have everything you need for a comfy, laid-back getaway.
When you arrive, you’re sure to notice the outhouse at the rear of the cabin. And yes, that means there’s no plumbing; however, there is a water tank for your convenience.
The rustic charm extends to the cabin’s interior, where you’ll find lots of wood features, from the floor to the ceiling. What you won’t find is a TV or Wi-Fi – remember, this is a place to unwind and disconnect.
A small kitchen area, which includes a small fridge, electric skillet, and griddle, ensures your stomach will be satisfied during your stay. There are also propane and charcoal grills.
The accommodations may be cozy and comfortable, but you’ll probably spend most of your time outside, which is where you’ll find one of the cabin’s best amenities: Dream Lake.
Once a fish hatchery, the lake offers some great fishing. And since a boat is included with the cabin rental, you’ll just have to bring along some poles and bait.
