Birchwood is a town of about 500 people way up in the northwest corner of the state. A gorgeous Northwoods town, it’s home to one of the most delicious little spots that you just have to try out. Birchwood Cafe is a favorite of the locals, who call it the best food for miles. The owners are always there to greet and welcome you, the food is beyond delicious and the atmosphere can’t be beat.
Birchwood Cafe is open from 7 am to 2 pm every day but Wednesday.
It's a beautiful, welcoming spot where it feels like everyone knows each other. In my opinion, it's always a good sign when you walk in and the place is full of locals. If it's become the place to hang out, there's a good reason.
At Birchwood Cafe, that reason is amazingly tasty food that's unique and interesting and oh-so-comforting. And it's because the owners are friendly and welcoming and always there to share a story or even a cooking tip.
You might come in for a filling breakfast before starting your day.
Or to warm up and fill up on lunch to keep your fueled for the rest of your day.
This is no simple eggs and sandwiches cafe - though folks say the hash browns are worth driving quite a distance for.
You might find meatloaf on special or be able to indulge in their take on biscuits and gravy.
One of the very best things you'll find here are the giant cinnamon rolls.
The owners are known as Texas Mike and Apron Betsey and everyone in town knows their names.
You're up north and in a small town, so know that the entire pace of life is a bit slower up here. Plus, it's a small, family-owned and run spot. But we promise the food is well worth the wait.
Whether you're in for breakfast or lunch, Birchwood Cafe is the kind of place that you'll spend all year waiting to get back to. It's the perfect slice of Northwoods heaven.
Birchwood Cafe is located at 120 N Main St, Birchwood, WI 54817.
