Some people turn their noses up at gas station food – but that’s just because they haven’t been to Ed’s Pit Stop. At first glance, it looks like a typical gas station; however, it’s anything but. Step inside, and you’ll find an incredible restaurant that serves up a slew of tasty eats and treats, including gourmet ice cream and homemade waffle cones. Take a look:
This is Ed’s Pit Stop in Birchwood. Because of its small town locale and the fact that it looks like just another gas station, it’s easy to pass up – but that’s a huge mistake.
Homemade pizzas are also part of the fare. In addition to typical options, like pepperoni pizza, Ed’s serves up signature pies, like Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza, which comes loaded with crisp bacon, hamburger, pickles, and mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
The delicious options don't end there, though. Ed’s also includes a coffee and espresso bar as well as an ice cream counter that serves up gourmet ice cream, which has been dubbed the best ice cream up north.
But just like everything else at Ed’s, the cones are anything but typical – and that’s because they’re made right in the store. You can even get them hand-dipped in chocolate and nuts.
