Hawk's View Cottages Have The Most Stunning Views In Wisconsin- Only In Your State ®

The Great River Road is a National Scenic byway that stretches 250 miles through 33 adorable small towns. One of those is Fountain City, a long, narrow town at the base of 550-foot Eagle Bluff. And atop that bluff you’ll find the Hawks View Cottages.

Some of the coolest, most unique lodging in all of Wisconsin sits perched on the bluffs of Fountain City, overlooking the Mississippi River Valley. These cottages give stellar views up and down the valley and provide an awesome home base for exploring this area.

The cottages are owned by the same folks that own Fountain City's Seven Hawks Vineyard and a few of them sit right above the grapes, giving you a view that feels very European and amazing.

Unsurprisingly, the sunsets here are totally gorgeous as you sit high above the vista to the west with nothing to block your view.

There's definitely a small climb to access these cottages, but the payoff is obviously worth it. But definitely, don't over pack for this trip.

The cottages are built to maximize their amazing locale, from floor to ceiling windows to the amazing patio space where you can grill, enjoy some of the vineyard's wine or even have your coffee in the morning.

The patio would be wonderful all on its own, but the view you get of the river valley is really what makes it perfect.

These cottages are great no matter the time of year, but are particularly great in fall when the trees all up and down the bluff and river valley start changing colors.

From here, explore up and down the Great River Road, spend time at Merrick State Park and use their self-guided canoe tour and enjoy some of the most prolific bird-watching in the state.

There's really nothing better than taking a break away from all your stresses and relaxing for a few days at these stunning cottages with the most spectacular views. You won't regret it.
