There was a time when man’s best friend had to stay home on a Friday night. Those days are over, thanks to The Boneyard, a beer garden in Madison, Wisconsin, that welcomes guests on four legs. It’s a place where people can eat, drink and hang out, and it’s always a great time. Here’s why you need to join the pack at The Boneyard.
You’ll find The Boneyard on Madison’s east side, about a 15-minute drive from the state capitol. The business has completely transformed an old industrial property into a cozy and welcoming spot.
While Madison has a lot of dog-friendly restaurants and shops, The Boneyard is Madison’s first dedicated dog park and beer garden. It’s a place where dogs and their owners can unwind and relax.
Dog owners have a great time here as well. There's an indoor area with a well-stocked bar. Guests can sample from a rotating list of cold craft beers on tap. If you’re hungry, The Boneyard has you covered too - most nights there’s a food truck on site.
There’s no admission charge for humans to visit the Boneyard. Dogs can enter with a daily admission fee and seasonal admission passes are also available.
The Boneyard is a great time, even if you don’t have a dog... the dogs run and play and generally provide a lot of entertainment for the surrounding humans. If you like dogs, you’ll love this place!
The Boneyard is open Tuesday-Sunday. Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations, and aggressive dogs should stay home — The Boneyard reserves the right to refuse admission to any dog that’s not a good fit for the establishment. Wisconsin has a lot of wonderful beer gardens. Here’s a lakeside beer garden worth checking out!
