The park's origins can be traced to the 1890s when the location had a dance hall, a bar, and a bathhouse. It also had a popular swimming beach, and the first roller coaster was built in 1901.

In 1920, the property was donated to the city of Green Bay and it has since entertained scores of families along the lakeshore. The park is the 9th-oldest continuously operating amusement park in the United States and it's tied for 21st oldest in the world!

The park continues to evolve while retaining its classic charm. In 2010, it added a "new" roller coaster called the Zippin Pippin. The wooden roller coaster was nearly a century old but had been sitting unused in Memphis, Tennessee. It's having a great second life in Green Bay.

The park is very affordable, offering prices as classic as the rides. There's no admission to enter and ride tickets are just 25 cents each (most rides require one or two tickets per rider). There are concessions available on-site, including everything you need to enjoy a meal here.
