Whether you’re a fan of planes, history, or classic diner food, you’re sure to fall in love with Bessie’s Diner. Modeled after diners from decades ago, it boasts a charming retro feel. But that’s not the eatery’s only theme. Through décor and memorabilia, the diner also celebrates the history of flight, which is fitting since it’s located at an airport. Oh, and did we mention you can watch planes take off while you dine? Take a look:
Located at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Janesville, you can fly in or drive in to Bessie’s Diner.
No matter what it takes to get to Bessie’s Diner, it’s worth it since the eatery boasts great grub, spectacular surroundings, and amazing, close-up views of the planes coming and going.
Also prevalent throughout the diner are nods to aviation, including photos of Bessica Raiche, which is who the diner is named after. Bessica or Bessie is credited with being the first woman to fly an airplane solo.
