The Braxton Monster, also known as the Flatwoods Monster, is a local legend. The story tells of a creature that appeared after a UFO landing. The Braxton Convention and Visitors Bureau has sponsored 10 foot high chairs in the image of the monster around Braxton County. This chair is located at Cafe Cimino County Inn.
