During the summer temperatures can soar and you’ll be looking for a place to beat the heat. West Virginia’s lakes and rivers are fantastic places to take a dip but if you prefer the refreshing waters of a pool, here’s one spot you won’t want to miss. The pool at East Marion Park isn’t just any regular pool, it’s a wave pool and you’re going to love it!
East Marion Park in Fairmont is a family-fun destination with a playground, hiking trails, sports fields, and more. But the biggest draw during the summer is their pool.
This is no ordinary swimming spot - the wave pool is one of two pools of its kind in the tri-state area. Jump in and ride the waves without having to hit the beach!
The pool has a shallow graded entry just like you'd find at the beach with plenty of shallows to splash around in.
But you can also enter the pool with a plunge. Take a ride down the epic water slide to make a huge splash.
Enjoy plenty of lounge chairs and grassy space to camp out for the day. Bring a picnic or grab a bite to eat at the concession stand when hunger hits.
The wave pool is open daily from May 31 - August 20 from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. daily and on weekends through Labor Day. Pool day passes to this uniquely fun summer oasis cost $6 for adults and $5 for children and seniors.
