Do you know any dinosaur lovers? Then it’s time to start planning an outing with them to Charleston, West Virginia, because we’ve found the perfect little spot tucked away not far from the city for any and all dino fans!
If you've driven along US 119 north into Charleston, you may have spotted a massive T-Rex peering out at you over a (by comparison) tiny chain link fence. No? Never noticed it? Well, it's there, hidden behind the Southridge Shopping Center.
Specifically, you'll find the beast just around the corner from the Skyzone Trampoline Park. And find it you should, because a round or two of mini-golf at a dinosaur-themed golf course is a blast.
And that's exactly what you'll get to experience at Trex Mini Golf and Gem Mine - a fun-filled couple of hours enjoying all things dinosaur via a thrilling game of mini golf.
This fun course features all sorts of model dinosaurs, from partially buried bones in various stages of artificial fossilization to a range of species of the towering beasts themselves. Each of the 18 holes is a time portal to one of the various ages when dinosaurs lived.
Even the gift shop is dinosaur themed, so that while the other members of your dino-loving party are busy elsewhere, you can stock up on all things dinosaur related for birthdays and Christmas!
Trex Mini Golf & Gem Mine is open seven days a week. On Mondays through Saturdays, their hours or 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. On Sundays, they are open 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

For another fun, themed mini golf experience, you can also try Coal Country Miniature Golf. Apparently, themed mini golfing is something the Mountain State really does well.
