Fall is the perfect time to visit your favorite lake – the weather is mild and the banks are aglow with the rich hues of autumn. Here’s a hike in Barbour County that has a trail you hike around while you enjoy some of the best fall foliage ever.

Teter Creek Lake is a peaceful, quiet spot to visit this fall.

The lake covers 35 acres and is stocked several times every year.

On a clear day, this lake is as smooth as glass, and the fall foliage reflections are beautiful.

Take the 1.6 mile path around the lake for a nice, easy hike to enjoy the autumn colors.

The surrounding hills are pretty photogenic, too.

Many birds and animals call this pretty lake home, and you'll likely see several while hiking.

Keep an eye out for birds, deer, rabbits, foxes and muskrats.

You'll also see plenty of these little guys, scampering around in the trees surrounding the lake.

Camp overnight in one of 20 rustic sites along the lake's shores.

You'll find the Teter Creek Lake Wildlife Management Area in Barbou County, about 10 miles north of Belington.
