Climb The Only Lighthouse In West Virginia For An Adventure The Whole Family Will Love
Here’s something you wouldn’t expect to find in the Mountain State: a lighthouse tour! West Virginia’s only lighthouse stands 104 feet tall (the equivalent of 10 stories high) and has 122 steps to reach the observation deck. From there, you’ll feel on top of the world with 360-degree views of Summersville Lake and the surrounding area.
Why travel to the coast to visit a lighthouse when we have one right here at home in West Virginia? Have you already climbed to the top of the Summersville Lighthouse?
Summersville Lake Retreat and Lighthouse is located at 278 Summersville Lake Rd., Mt Nebo, WV 26679. The lighthouse is open daily from April to October (and by appointment November through March).
