As Farmers’ Almanac predicted, this year started off a little extra cold and snowy. But good news! Spring is on the way. And, according to the latest AccuWeather prediction about the forecast for 2022 in West Virginia at least, spring will arrive a little earlier and be pleasantly warmer than usual. Now that’s news you won’t hear us complaining about!

According to the team at AccuWeather, February of 2022 is shaping up to be a slightly warmer month than usual (up a degree or two from average) across all of West Virginia with the small exception of the top of the Northern Panhandle, which will see average temperatures for the time of year.

March will continue that warming trend, being two to three degrees warmer than usual and ushering in an early spring.

That means we just have a little bit more winter to weather, because by March it should feel like spring.
