1. The Barge Restaurant, Charleston
This restaurant is a real floating barge on the Kanawha River. There are actually two restaurants on this barge: The lower level serves comfort food such as burgers and the like, while the upper level, called Bistro on the Barge, serves gourmet food fit for any fine dining enthusiast.

2. Trail 12 BBQ, Twin Hollow Campground, Gilbert
Named after the the nearby Hatfield-McCoy Trail 12, the mouth watering BBQ served there is a favorite among locals, who often visit the restaurant without actually camping or engaging in other park activities. Their meat is slow cooked over a hickory wood fire. You can enjoy their ribs, pulled pork and other tasty dishes while taking in the beautiful view.

This restaurant sits right on the Elk River in an historic old mansion. The restaurant serves artisan style food unlike anything you have tasted. The mansion also has rooms you can rent for the night, complete with an amazing three course breakfast in the morning.

5. The Fly In Cafe, Huntington
This restaurant is actually located just outside Huntington at the Robert Newlon Airpark. The airport is designated for small planes, which you can watch land and and take off while you enjoy seafood, steak or ribs. Like the name implies, this restaurant has a tropical setting, serving Hawaiian fusion cuisine. On Wednesdays they serve all you can eat crabs and on Sundays they offer a delicious brunch. They also serve tropical inspired drinks.

Although the name doesn't sound like a restaurant, especially not a gourmet one, that is exactly what it is. Their menu changes to suit the season, but one thing that doesn't change is the quality.
