West Virginia has so many amazing cities that it’s hard to pick a favorite. But this one small city in Mercer County has a lot to make it attractive, and it shows an even more promising future.
1. Princeton was named the "Best Up-And-Coming Town" in West Virginia by WV Living Magazine.
The Princeton Rays are the Appalachian League baseball affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays. 73 former Princeton players have gone on to play in the Major Leagues.
The town is filled with historical markers and small museums, like this Railroad Museum.
The city says on their website, “We are preparing this city to be an asset for future generations, to provide a secure home for developing families, a comfortable haven for the elderly, and a location worthy of settlement by industry and new citizens alike.”
It looks like they are off to a great start.
