Oh my. Just wait ’til you see the goodness that comes from this West Virginia bakery… you may be clearing your schedule for a foodie road trip soon. This little bakery (and by little, we mean tiny) in the farthest corner of the Mountain State is located only a few blocks from the Potomac River and our neighboring state of Maryland. By claiming it’s in the ‘middle of nowhere,’ we really mean it’s relatively far from most of the state’s population – but oh-so worth the drive! Trust us, and take a look…
Pressed Flour may be located in a tiny (maybe 10 feet wide) sliver of space along Shepardtown's W. German Street, but their creations are larger than life.
Serving breakfast and lunch (only on the weekends) this tiny bakery makes life better... one pastry at a time. Show up at lunchtime and enjoy their made-from-scratch rolls stuffed with all sorts of flavorful creations, like the crab roll shown below.
Using fresh, local ingredients, Pressed Flour whips up pasty pleasure on the regular, and their offerings are so good... some locals claim they have to limit their visits or give in to a larger waistline!
Pressed Flour's bakery proves that great things come in small packages. They may have the smallest business in Shepardstown, but it has the biggest flavor!
Pressed Flour is located at 111 W German St., Shepherdstown, WV 25443. It’s open on weekends only: Friday through Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Learn more and see daily creations on Pressed Flour’s Facebook page.
