West Virginia has no shortage of outdoor adventure. From the mountain peaks to the New River Gorge, you can tally up endless bucket-list-worthy experiences to have in the Mountain State. But whether you’re a West Virginia native or a visitor to the area, one activity is not to be missed — ziplining. There are many places where you can zoom through the treetops but the state’s longest zipline will take you on a soaring adventure like none other.
Experience the thrill of 6 different gravity ziplines ranging from 500 feet to 3,150 feet at Adventures On The Gorge. Located on the rim of the New River Gorge, this adventure resort leads guests on an unforgettable treetop excursion.
Adventures On The Gorge is known for its whitewater rafting excursions but they also have rock climbing, horseback riding, kayaking, mountain biking, and ziplining.
The Gravity Ziplines will take you on a 1.5-mile tour that at its highest peak soars 200 feet above the forest floor.
Begin with two 500-foot ziplines just to get you warmed up. Then graduate to longer rides of 1,300 feet, 1,600 feet, and 1,800 feet in length.
The final rush is the Adrena-Line, that spans 3,150 feet!
The Adrena-Line is the longest zipline in the state. It's even longer than the New River Gorge Bridge and riders will reach the same speeds as the vehicles crossing it!
Grab a bird's eye view of three counties as you soar through the air at Adventures On The Gorge. Plan your visit right and you can enjoy the some of the best fall foliage views in the state from this high-flying perspective.
Riding the Gravity Ziplines requires that participants be at least 12 years of age and weigh between 100 - 260 lbs. To check out a full roster of all the outdoor experiences Adventures On The Gorge has to offer, click
