At West Virginia’s Oglebay Good Zoo, the lemur encounter is an adorable adventure where you can enjoy a little one-on-one time with one of the zoo’s most popular residents!
If you love animals, Oglebay Good Zoo is the perfect spot for a day trip. This cozy environment in Wheeling houses more than 50 species of captivating creatures including 20 that are endangered.

The Oglebay Good Zoo has more than a dozen animal encounters but the ring-tailed lemur encounter is a rare chance to spend time with this endangered species from Madagascar.
Help the zookeepers feed and train the lemurs as you are welcomed into their exhibit. You'll get to spend 45 minutes interacting with and learning about these adorable lemurs.
Participants need to arrive 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time. For the lemur encounter, participants must be five years of age or older.
