Every year, people gather on Main Street in Clarksburg to enjoy a weekend of celebration and revelry. About 100,000 people come to the city for the three day event.
The even features live music and authentic Italian street food and beverages. The event also features a pageant, events, contests, displays and exhibitions - a long standing tradition from the very first festival.
The success of the festival has not gone unnoticed, either. It has been named the "Top 100 Events in North America" by the American Bus Association multiple times.
The festival is just a short walk from the area known as Glen Elk, which was a prominent area for Italian immigrants who first arrived in the region. It is this ancestry that gave rise to a festival for their descendants and all people of Italian heritage. The festival occurs every year during Labor Day weekend.
