The air is getting colder in West Virginia. The radio stations are starting to play “Jingle Bells,” and you can’t help but wonder if maybe you could take your own sleigh ride in our great mountain state. The answer is yes! Check out these horse-drawn carriage and sleigh rides to get into the spirit of the holidays.
There will be free horse and carriage rides available from Rocky Point Farm at the South Charleston Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 10th. You can also see Santa arrive by helicopter!
Beckley's Exhibition Coal Mine has a special Christmas celebration on two consecutive weekends this year, November 29 – 30 and December 6 and 7. There will be special coal mine tours, visits from Santa, crafts for children, and more. The events are from 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm. The cost is $10 per adult and $5 per child, and covers all activities, including the carriage rides.
