Making plans for camping in the near future? This colossal campground in West Virginia is so big it’s larger than many of the smalls towns in The Mountain State. For a family adventure everyone is certain to love, check out the KOA located in Harpers Ferry!
The Harpers Ferry, Civil War Battlefields KOA campground has enough campsites, tent sites and cabins to accommodate 1,200 to 1,500 people at a time. (We based that estimate on more than 300 rental sites/cabins at 4-5 persons per unit.)
And it has enough fun amenities to keep everyone occupied for days on end! A massive junior olympic size pool is a dreamy way to spend an afternoon (or more). (Pool is open May to September.)
In addition to traditional camping, this KOA has several different models of cabins if glamping is more your preference. The park is so large, you'll probably want to bring a bicycle to get around. And be prepared to take part in the many fun activities the campground hosts all year long.
Hungry? Head over to the cafe and game room to refuel. Afterward, shoot a game of pool or play an arcade game. Don't miss the free pancakes each morning... what a great way to start the day!
A full-size laundromat is available as well. If you've been camping before, then you know the importance of not only having clean clothes, but also how nice it is to be able to wash and dry things if they unexpectedly get wet!
