This mill is a completely operational replica of the original Cooper’s Mill, which is also located nearby. It was completed in 1976 and is actually composed of pieces of three other historic mills across the state. The main structure of the Glade Creek Grist Mill is made up of parts of the Stone Creek Grist Mill, while the water wheel and other parts come from the Onego Grist Mill and the Spring Run Grist Mill. All of the older mills date back to the 1800s.

The mill churns out freshly ground cornmeal to this day, which can be purchased in the park depending on availability and the conditions of the stream that is used to power the mill. The grist mill is incredibly popular with photographers and painters because of its stunning location.
