Do you have a free day coming up? Do you want to fill it full of fun without spending a dime? Of course you do – don’t we all? The good news is that in West Virginia, you can actually do such an unheard of thing! And one of the best choices for a full day of free fun is at Seneca Rocks in West Virginia.
Start your day at the Seneca Rocks Discovery Center.
The Seneca Rocks Discovery Center is typically open from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but always check before you go to make sure the hours haven't changed.

Outside, find a comfortable perch with a beautiful view of West Virginia's iconic Seneca Rocks.
The trail forms a 2.7-mile loop and climbs over 800 feet in elevation, so make sure to bring some water with you for this moderately difficult trek.
Then, hot and sweaty from the climb, it's time to round out the day with a swim in one of the state's best swimming holes, tucked away against a sandstone cliff in Seneca Creek, near the Discovery Center bridge.
