We love spilling the beans on hidden gems all over West Virginia. We’re all a little too busy with our every day lives to get out and explore as much as we’d like, so it’s nice to have a bucket list for when free time allows for some adventure. This little gem is not what you’d expect to find in a small town… it’s a market, a bakery and a quaint little restaurant all in one! And wow, are the freshly baked goods a delight!
Fish Hawk Acres opened on E Main Street in Buckhannon in 2015 and this town hasn't been the same since.
The baked goods are as pretty as they are flavorful. Who can resist the amazing smells found inside a bakery?
Whether visiting for a meal, or just stopping in to pick up some goodies for your own dinner creations, Fish Hawk Acres is a delightful foodie adventure.
In the cooler are several salads and already prepared dishes you can grab on the go and bring home, or as an offering when dining at friends' houses. There is also a selection of seasonal fresh veggies to round out meal preparation items.
Seating is a bit limited inside this charming restaurant/market/bakery, so you'll want to arrive early if you plan to order food and eat in the dining room.
The system is simple: check the board for daily specials (that Ramp Burger above looks... interesting), and then order at the counter. Be sure to grab a drink from the cooler and some chips to round out the meal before heading to the register to pay.
