One of our favorite aspects about the holiday season is the drive-thru Christmas lights in West Virginia and watching how all of the different areas of our state begin to transform. First, West Virginians are usually hit with a fresh layer of snow, motivating us to jump right into our favorite time of year and begin decorating. Next comes the exciting fact that our most beloved holiday traditions and attractions begin to pop up around the Mountain State, bringing joy to all who make their way out to celebrate. If you’re ready to experience all that winter has to offer, then see what it’s like to go for a drive through our state’s most dazzling light display on Dec. 7 through 22, 2023!

Just outside of Point Pleasant in Mason County, the West Virginia drive-thru Christmas lights becomes a magical kingdom during the holidays.

  • Christmas at Fort Randolph (Lighthouse Lane, Point Pleasant, WV): This historic structure is a major draw to Point Pleasant because it is the location of the assassination of Chief Cornstalk in November 1777. A replica of the building was constructed in 1974 about a mile from its original home, located at Krodel Park.
