Hello! I was born and raised in Toronto, lived in Miami for a decade, attended the Miami International University of Art & Design, and have resided in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, for the past 15+ years. I enjoy traveling all over the United States, Canada, and Europe - though I have a great appreciation and love for the southeastern parts of the US in particular. My past expertise lay in hospitality in the restaurant and retail world. Aside from writing, I now run an Airbnb in my home and sling vintage, so I'd like to think this all helps me with what it takes to find the best restaurants, lodging, and fun things to do and see in your state. I am an avid reader, love exploring the arts, and discovering the best hole-in-the-wall restaurants. Nice to meet you!

Sip on your latte and head to Downtown Lewisburg, where you'll explore the local shopping and dining options. Within the district's five blocks, you'll find many stylish and independently-owned shops with unique items like A New Chapter Bookstore.
You'll find A New Chapter Bookstore in the heart of downtown on the corner of Washington and Court Street in the old ABB building. A local, independently owned and operated bookstore specializing in new books and gifts for you to browse through.
Located just off the beaten path, this drive-up restaurant has been serving the community since the early 1950s. Some favorites on the menu are hamburgers, homemade chili, and ice cream, which get delivered right to your car. As seen on Food Network's Southern Fried Road Trip, we're not the only ones raving about this local institution.
After lunch and on a full stomach, make your way to The Lost World Caverns. The Lost World Caverns are a series of underground caverns located just outside Lewisburg, West Virginia. Registered in 1973 as a National Natural Landmark, people flock to the caverns to see their terraced pedestal-like stalagmites, flowstone, domepits, and waterfalls, an attraction you can't miss whenever you're in the neighborhood.
After an afternoon of cave tours, grab a cocktail at The French Goat. Known for their farm-to-table French cuisine, they also have must-try killer craft cocktails. Enjoy the elegant decor and full bar, all set in a charming house. Order a cocktail or two from their seasonal handcrafted menu, a perfect precursor to an evening at the theatre.
End your day at the Greenbrier Valley Theatre. Greenbrier Valley Theatre is a State Professional Theatre. Many events happen year-round, including theatrical productions, musical concerts, and literary events. So make sure to catch an entertaining show on your way out.
