In a state as gorgeous as wild and wonderful West Virginia, there’s no better way to experience all our beauty than to get out and walk through nature. We’ve got countless municipal parks, 35 state parks, and six national parks. That’s a lot of parks, and they’re filled with even more trails. If you’re looking for a park filled with some of the best trails in West Virginia, you’ll definitely want to check out Camp Creek State Park. This 550-acre area is just off I-77 and not far from the southern tip of the state.

One trail we really love here is the Camp Creek trail. It connects to several other trails within the park, so you can really make it as long or as short as you like.

The path is paved and not difficult at all to walk. There's very little elevation gain, so it's a great option if you're looking for an outing with children or dogs.
