When you walk into a restaurant for the first time, how would you feel if one of the restaurant’s regulars pulled you aside and gave you a quick run-down on all the best menu items the establishment has to offer? If you’re like us, you’d appreciate the insight – it’s always nice to have a heads up about what’s good at a new restaurant. Well, if you want to eat like a local at Cafe Diem in West Virginia, then take it from us: order the Coal Miner Burger.
Cafe Diem is located at 2408 Paw Paw Creek Road outside Rivesville, about half an hour west of Morgantown. The restaurant is open Tuesdays to Fridays from noon until 8:00 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Cafe Diem is closed on Mondays. Love to eat like a local? Then you’ll also want to try the Al Burger at Burger Carte, another out of the way West Virginia restaurant in the small town of Smithers.
