Bluestone State Park, named after the Bluestone National Scenic River, was established in 1950. The 2,100-acre park is centered around Bluestone Lake, the third largest body of water in the state.

The bright blue lake was created by the Bluestone Dam to control flooding in the region. The lake is surrounded by forestland with several miles of trails at varying levels of difficulty.

Bluestone also has four campgrounds with 120 sites, both for tents and RVs. If you prefer more modern accommodations, the campground also has 26 fully furnished cabins.
