Many have heard the old saying, ‘Don’t fix something that isn’t broken.’ At this old fashioned restuarant in Fairmont, that’s been the mantra for nearly 80 years. With the exception of expanding a 1960s bar to a full restaurant menu, the 8th Street Confectionery has remained largely unchanged (in the best way possible) for decades.

Generations of locals have called this out of the way neighborhood restaurant home and today's customers include the grandchildren of those who came here as children themselves in the 60s and 70s.
