While it has certainly been a strange year, we’re looking forward to resuming some of our summer traditions here in Washington. Lake Chelan’s Slidewaters water park is set to open Memorial Day weekend, leading to a season of fun for visitors of all ages (with some precautions in place, of course). And this year, they’ll have an exciting new neighbor.
Lakeside Surf is a complete surf facility located next door to Slidewaters, and they’ve just opened the world’s largest standing wave.
Slidewaters has been in business for almost 40 years, offering 12 acres of water park fun to all who visit Lake Chelan.
Lakeside Surf's opening has been highly anticipated. Both its construction and opening were delayed multiple times due to the pandemic, so the opening is really something to celebrate.
Every day that Slidewaters is open, guests can score a free 30-minute surf session between 10 a.m. and noon. The sessions are first-come, first-served, and capacity is limited.
If you visit Slidewaters this summer, make sure you check out Lakeside Surf.
