This Beloved Restaurant Is A True Washington Treasure
If you’ve been to Walla Walla in the last few years, you’ve probably noticed that new restaurants are popping up all over town. As the city becomes increasingly known nationwide as a wine destination, it makes sense that more and more delicious eateries are opening. But if you’re looking for a tried-and-true taste of classic Walla Walla, you’ll still find it at Whitehouse-Crawford.

Back then, it was the Enterprise Planing Mill and Furniture Company, owned by the partnership Cooper and Schmuck.

It was rebuilt with brick the following year, and eventually, it was owned by Whitehouse and Crawford. The Whitehouse-Crawford operated as a lumber planing mill and furniture factory until its sale to the City of Walla Walla in 1988.
