Located just outside of Naches on US Highway 12, the White Pass Ski Area is one of the most popular places for snow sports in the Pacific Northwest. And while most of us aren’t sad about winter coming to an end, for avid skiers and snowboarders, this is a bittersweet time. Luckily, the White Pass annual winter carnival is nearly upon us, so you can either mourn or celebrate the impending changing of the seasons.

The White Pass Winter Carnival is an annual tradition that's fun for the whole family.

This year's festival happens to be on Leap Day, February 29th. There are also some activities happening on Friday, February 28th, if you'd like to come early.
The carnival consists mainly of snow tubing, kids' obstacle course races, snow sculptures, and other family-friendly celebrations.

All base area events are free and open to the public. All you have to do is get yourself to White Pass.

There's a dinner service beginning at 6 p.m., and it's always delicious. Feast on a full prime rib dinner for $33, or enjoy some spaghetti and meatballs for $17.50. Kids' meals are also available.
Live music from the Marshall Law Band will kick off at 4:30 p.m., which will be a blast.

Dinner is followed by a torch parade and a fireworks display.
