This larger city has been named one of the top places to retire in the country by Forbes and has an active redevelopment plan for the waterfront along Bellingham Bay. The cost of living is cheaper than average and there's a large activity center for seniors that offers everything from flu shots to walking and hiking groups.
Not only has this city been named as one of the safest in the state, but there are several amazing amenities in the area to enjoy. It does cost a bit more to live here, but it has a great location along the Snoqualmie River and Seattle is only a short drive away.
