Fishing is a relaxing experience year-round in the Northwest, and our catches can turn into some of the most delicious meals! We have an abundance of lakes and bodies of water here in Washington to take our fishing poles, but here are 12 of the most amazing spots that are worth a visit soon:
Salmon, Kokanee, rainbow trout and cutthroat trout can all be found in this lake year-round, located on the north fork of the Skokomish River in Mason County.
Fishers may be able to catch rainbow trout, Northern pikeminnow and other species while out on this river in Eastern Washington.

This spot is one of our state's largest rivers and is home to both summer and winter steelhead, Pacific salmon, as well as cutthroat and Dolly Varden trout.

Just south of Anacortes and west of Highway SR-20, this lake is perfect for fishing year-round and is home to largemouth bass and bluegill, yellow perch, brown bullhead catfish and more.
Depending on the season, you can fish for Chinook, coho salmon, albacore tuna, halibut, rockfish or even lingcod in this scenic area along the Pacific coast.
Even though the season may be ending soon at this this lake near Elbe, it provides great brown and rainbow trout fishing and has a gorgeous backdrop of Mount Rainier on clear days.

This premier fly fishing spot is the only blue ribbon trout stream in our entire state. Both the Upper and Lower Yakima have great spots, but the most popular is between Easton and Roza Dam.
You'll need a Saltwater License through the state to fish out here on the Strait of Juan de Fuca, but it's well worth it between all of the opportunities for catching halibut, lingcod, rockfish, greenling, sea bass, salmon, Dungeness crab and more.

This spot about an hour away from Seattle is known for its steelhead fishing. Silver and pink salmon are here now that the season is changing to fall, and chum salmon will start showing up in a few months.
This body of water has year-round fishing opportunities for warmwater fish and rainbow trout. Many of the Walleye here can reach over 10 pounds!
Some of the fish you may be able to catch here include the coastal cutthroat trout, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, largemouth bass, or even brown bullheads.
