What are the most scenic hikes in Washington?

The beauty found in Washington state is seemingly endless as are the number of hikes to find gorgeous scenery. The Sleeping Beauty Trail near the Columbia River Gorge is a relatively short, yet steep 2.5-mile hike that leads to an overlook with panoramic views. Your efforts will be well-rewarded with the scenery up top. If you want to feel as though you’ve entered a fairytale, take the ethereal Hoh Rain Forest Hall of Moss Trail filled with trees that are covered in moss. It's truly an otherworldly hike.

Where can I find scenic overlooks in Washington?

With the number of mountains throughout the state, overlooks are found everywhere. The Washington Pass Overlook is one you don’t even have to hike to. Along the North Cascades Highway, just park the car in the parking lot and get out of your car to have a look at the miles of scenery in front of you. If you are up for a hike, we recommend the Naches Peak Loop Trail, an easy pathway with an overlook where you can see a valley and Mount Rainier (although the mountain can be seen throughout the entire hike).

What are some natural wonders in Washington?

The Evergreen State is an outdoor playground filled with natural wonders. One such wonder is the Guler Ice Caves in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. These caves are actually lava tubes filled with incredible ice formations. They can be accessed via a 20-foot staircase into the opening where the temperature drops to 32 degrees.
