Not only does this beautiful hike take you straight to Trout Lake, but it’s also a great trek for hikers of all skill levels.

You'll find this tranquil three-mile out-and-back trail deep in the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, near the town of Skykomish.

This isn't the only trail that leads to Trout Lake, but it's one of the shortest and most beautiful.
This trail is open all year, but you'll find that most hikers use it between April and September.

For the remaining months, you might have to bring your snow shoes to enjoy it.
The elevation gains are fairly low here and the switchbacks are minimal, which is why the hike is ranked as easy.

Dogs are welcome to join you as long as they're leashed, and this is a great hike for children (although it may be too much for very young kids).
