Here in Washington, we get pretty excited when new restaurants come to town. But we also have a special appreciation for those classic eateries that have been around for decades, serving consistently tasty food. Today, we’re giving a shout-out to a few of our favorites.
This elegant eatery has been serving the Walla Walla community for decades, and the building dates all the way back to 1904. The regional cuisine is consistently delicious.

The Spar is Tacoma's oldest saloon, and they've been around long enough to earn a great reputation. It could be the tasty food served at reasonable prices or the upbeat atmosphere.
Since 1935, Spud Fish & Chips has been serving tasty seafood from their shop at Alki Beach. Generations of Washingtonians have fond memories of grabbing lunch there, and the business is still going strong.
For decades, Churchill's Steakhouse has been a popular special occasion spot in Spokane. And despite the influx of new eateries in the area, it remains a local favorite.
