It’s tough to keep up with the Seattle restaurant scene since it seems as if new and exciting eateries are always popping up in the city. That being said, there’s something nostalgic and comforting about stepping into an old school spot that has stood the test of time. Although it remains largely underrated, Vito’s has been a favorite establishment for “in the know” locals since the early 1950s. And while it has been lovingly restored in the last decade, there’s no denying its vintage charm.
If you've been in Seattle's First Hill neighborhood, you've probably walked by Vito's before and not even known it.
Let's just say there are more stories about drugs, organized crime, and illicit gambling than we could ever tell. But don't worry, those days are long gone (we assume).

This spot was a prominent hangout for Seattle's top businessmen, priests, politicians, lawyers, and even some celebrities.
New owners Jeff Scott and Greg Lundgren took their time to make sure everything was shiny and new, but also maintained its original ornate details (and famous restroom murals). The result is a fine dining establishment like no other.
